Quantum Leap Kids’ PRE-LEAPS READING READINESS PROGRAM director has carefully researched and analyzed numerous early childhood literacy models to develop a multi-literacy learning approach, one that brings together many aspects of English Language Arts skills.

Our 3 to 5-year-old morning program combines three reading readiness programs into one. In today’s knowledge-based, technologically-advanced society, young children are often times challenged and pressured into learning literacy and reading skills early in life. These skills are critical for success in their approaching formal school years and beyond.

Quantum Leap is, therefore, committed to building the framework one step at a time through effective components of early English Language Arts comprehension.

In a two-hour, three-day per week program, children will gain a strong foundation in phonics and phonemic awareness, which maximizes the basic but critical aspects needed to read, spell, write and engage in literature.

In a playful, whole-brain method of instruction, children will learn through hearing (“phono”), speaking (“oral”), seeing (“visual”), moving (“kinesthetic”) and touch (“tactile”) modalities.

Art projects and music time will also contribute to teaching vowel and consonant digraphs, long and short vowel sounds, soft sounds, blends and diphthongs, to introduce reading fluency and also to develop story retells through illustrations.

The National Reading Panel identifies five components (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension) as necessities for effective early reading instruction. The Panel concluded that if a child does not read well by the third grade, he or she may NEVER catch up.

We here at Quantum Leap Kids’ Learning Center believe that the program we’ve created, combined with the nationally-researched early childhood literacy programs we’ve selected for our PRE-LEAPS Reading Readiness Morning Program, offer your child an enjoyable, creative outlet to enhance his or her reading readiness development. Our method and approach enable them to be even more prepared for kindergarten and first grade.

Students at Quantum Leap Kids’ Learning Center will enter kindergarten well-equipped to achieve academically and with confidence. The reading comprehension skills they’ll master will help to advance their curiosity to explore, create and express their knowledge; not only in literacy, but also in math, science, technology, music, the arts and history.

Leaping ahead one small step at a time, in a fun social playtime learning environment, enriches a child’s cognitive development, while instilling a love for learning.

Please call for additional information and even a visit to our learning center.

We look forward to meeting you and your child.
